Website development and maintenance
Brief: The client already had an existing website live, however this was providing a very low Return On Investment (ROI). This was mostly due to the existing site having never been fully scoped for the needs of the business, and so it’s content and functionality did not meet the requirements of the client’s business. Rather than continuing to try and resolve the issues, the client decided to invest in a new website that would fully reflect their brand and market offer. They also wanted a CMS that would have the capacity to grow and adapt with their business.
Tactics utilised: To achieve this brief, we first met with the client to scope out what they were looking for from their website. This included determining what was working well on their current site, their issues and their wish list. Once this was established, our developer worked with the client to develop their site map and our designer mocked-up creative concepts for the site based on their brief. We then carried out a competitor analysis and used the client’s existing analytics to better understand their customer journey, the sales funnel and their likely behaviour on site. Once we had the necessary information we needed and the client was happy to proceed, we got to work in building a bold and beautiful website. Activities included;
- Copywriting, optimising this for their core offer
- Sourcing images which complimented their brand
- Creation of all pages, using various elements to enhance the content
- Sourcing additional plugins where needed
- Researching and installing an e-forms solution
- Pre-live checks across a range of devices
Now that this site is live, we are updating the site for SEO and also running a series of Google Ads campaigns. Currently, their bounce rate is just 8.5% from a three month period.
